Requirements: None.
Goal: Teach students basic ideas, concepts and the structure of business plan with the emphasis on the modern format of the business plan for a contemporary electronic business of small and medium enterprises.
Outcome: Students are being trained for critical and expert considerations of business of a future small and medium enterprise, as well as for preparation, organization and writing the business plan for the enterprise.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. The concept of business plan;
  2. Mission and vision;
  3. Business processes and the enterprise description;
  4. Business goals and objectives;
  5. Market analysis (Marketing plan);
  6. Analysis of competition;
  7. Financial analysis (Financial plan);
  8. Colloquium 1;
  9. Risk analysis;
  10. Phases, tasks and milestones in the project of an e-business;
  11. Executive summary;
  12. Format and presentation of business plan;
  13. Defending business plan in front of investors;
  14. Colloquium 2.
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
  1. Through practical classes, students will pass through case studies in which they will be able to use the acquired knowledge at the theoretical lessons in order to solve specific problems presented in these case studies.
