Requirements:
Goal: The objective of this course is to introduce students to the knowledge and skills necessary for sound insulation protection and room acoustic design.
Outcome: The outcome of the course is a student who is qualified to work on sound insulation and acoustic design.

Theoretical instruction:
  1. Elements of acoustic design
  2. Measuring and calculation of reverberation time
  3. Absorption materials and constructions - design and implementation
  4. Acoustic diffusers - design and implementation
  5. Small room acoustics
  6. Studio acoustics design
  7. Concert halls acoustic designs
  8. Elements of sound insulation
  9. Measurement and calculation of sound insulation elements
  10. Light barriers construction
  11. Floating floors, doors and windows as elements of sound insulation
  12. Case study - analysis of acoustic design of previously realized space
  13. Case study - analysis of sound insulationof previously realized space
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
  1. Acoustic impulse response measurement
  2. Analysis and interpretation of acoustic impulse response measurement results
  3. Acoustic design software modeling
  4. Practical realization of acoustic design and sound insulation project
