Goal:Introducing students to modern methods of environmental monitoring.
Outcome:Students will be able to plan and implement monitoring programs of environmental quality, ecological status and integrity of the ecosystem, but also to analyze and interpret the results and make conclusions and management decisions based on the results obtained by environmental monitoring.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
Legislation in the field of monitoring of air, water, wastewater, soil and other parts of the environment.
Properties of harmful substances in the air, water and soil.
Monitoring of industrial pollutants. Systematic measurements, examination and evaluation of environmental status indicators and environmental pollution.
Monitoring of standard harmful substances (SO2, NOx, CO2, CO).
Monitoring of the soot, emissions of metals.
Monitoring of specific harmful substances.

The specifics of automatic air monitoring in automatic stations.
