Requirements:
Goal: The aim of the course is to provide students with basic knowledge of the theory and application of electronic injection system of diesel engines.
Outcome: Upon passing the exam, the student will be qualified to check the correctness of electronic diesel injection systems.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. The Diesel cycle. The process of changing the working substance.
  2. Fuel for Diesel engines. Combustion process in diesel engines.
  3. Operating parameters of diesel engines. Propulsion characteristics of diesel engines
  4. Fuel injection system in diesel engines. Installation of low pressure.
  5. High pressure pumps.
  6. Discrete fuel injection systems (UPS, UIS).
  7. Injectors and high pressure lines.
  8. Colloquium.
  9. Common rail fuel injection systems.
  10. Start assist systems for diesel engines.
  11. Exhaust-gas treatment.
  12. Electronic Diesel Control (EDC).
  13. Fault diagnostics of dkesel engines.
  14. Colloquium.
