Requirements:Computer Architecture and Organization 1
Goal:Acquiring knowledge from basic parameters that affect the transmission of speech and data in communication systems, from the technologies and standards of networked systems.
Outcome:Training for design and realization of computer networks of smaller size and complexity.
Contents of the course
Introductory lecture. Time domain, frequency domain, Fourier analysis, analog and digital data transmission, transmission parameters, noise .. Encoding. NRZL, Manchester, AMI Analog modulation AM, FM, PM;
Digital modulation ASK, FSK, PSK. Spread Spectrum techniques FSS, DSS;
Sampling Theorem. Impulse code modulation. Frequency, time and code multiplex. Modems, xDLS technology, cable distribution systems.
Transmission media: wired and wireless.
Flow control, sliding window, error control.
Local computer networks according to IEEE standards: IEEE 802.1 - IEEE.3 (Ethernet).
In the laboratory, the administration of networked computers under Windows and Linux operating systems, the public presentation of the project of the structural cabling.
