Goal: The objective of the course is to acquire basic knowledge on managing the realization of investment projects
Outcome: After the course is over, students will be trained to plan, monitor and control the process of implementing investment projects (IP).
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. Business Systems Management. The concept of managing and managing a company.
  2. Concept and types of projects. Project definition, investment and business projects.
  3. The concept of project management. Developing and defining the concept of project management, new trends in project management development.
  4. Project management organization. Classic and contingency approaches in project management.
  5. Human resources management. Role and selection of the project manager. Team work and types of teams, stages development, formation and functioning of project teams.
  6. Contract management. The process of contracting the project and the type of contract.
  7. Quality management of the project. Functions and process of project quality management.
  8. Project risk management. Project risk management approach, project risk management concept, risk assessment method.
  9. Managing communication in the project. Communication management model.
  10. Managing changes in the project. Concept of change management, type of change.
  11. Planning the realization of the project. Planning the project implementation time, resource planning, project cost planning.
  12. Monitoring and control of project implementation. Monitoring and timing, project realization, monitoring and control of resources, monitoring and control of costs.
  13. Project reporting system.
  14. Standard computer programs for project management.
  15. Methods and techniques for project management.
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
  1. Preparation of tasks from network planning, analysis of structure, time and cost of the project, project optimization.
