Level of Studies: Undergraduate applied studies
Year of Study: 2
Semester: 3
Requirements: Knowledge of basic concepts of electronics.
Goal: To provide knowledge in analog electronic circuits and systems, their properties and applications. To provide the students with the ability to analyze and design basic analog circuits.
Outcome: At the end of the course, the students will be familiar with the structure and operation of analog electronic circuits. The students will be able to work with integrated analog electronic circuit.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. Opening lecture (the organization and content of the course). Basic concepts (signals and systems).
  2. Basic circuit elements (passive and active). Applications of analog electronic circuits. Analysis of electronic circuits in frequency domain.
  3. Linear electronic circuits (amplifiers, filters).
  4. Nonlinear electronic circuits (rectifiers, limiters, comparators, switchers)
  5. The application of feedback in electronic circuits. Operational amplifiers: basic concepts, structure, characteristics.
  6. The basic operational amplifier circuits: inverting and non-inverting amplifiers.
  7. The basic linear operational amplifier circuits: summing amplifier, differential amplifier, integrators, differentiators, PD regulator, PID regulator.
  8. Active filters. Oscillators.
  9. Voltage sources with operational amplifier, current sources with operational amplifier.
  10. Nonlinear circuits with operational amplifiers.
  11. Concluding remarks, directions of further professional development.

  1. Measuring instruments and laboratory equipment.
  2. Frequency response of electronic circuits.
  3. Operational amplifiers.
  4. Static and dynamic characteristics of operational amplifiers.
  5. Active filters.
  6. Circuits for phase shift.
  7. Current sources with operational amplifiers.
  8. DC voltage regulators.
  9. Rectifiers and limiters with operational amplifiers. Comparators.
