Requirements:Knowledge of work on computer (operating system).
Goal:The objective of the course is to familiarize students with databases and basic techniques for designing databases and applications in information systems and setting up queries using the SQL programming language. Solving specific problems using the MS ACCESS database management system.
Outcome:Students are trained to independently design simple databases and applications and set complex queries over multiple tables.

Theoretical instruction:
Review and development of databases.
Database systems.
Data models.
Basics of query languages.
Queries with calculated values and use of aggregate functions.
Action and parameter queries.
Review of the first part of the material.
Design of relational databases.
Normalization: 1NF, 2NF, 3NF, Boys-Kodova normal forms
Basics of model objects - relations, concept of object, weak objects, connecting objects.
