Requirements:
Goal: The aim of the course is to enable students to overcome the basics of theory and application of electronic ignition and injection systems for gasoline engines.
Outcome: Upon passing the exam, the student will be able to check the correctness of the electronic ignition and injection systems for gasoline engines.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. Vehicles with petrol engine.
  2. Performance of petrol engines.
  3. Ignition systems.
  4. Electronic fuel injection systems in petrol engines. Formation of mixtures, basic principles of injection.
  5. Ignition and injection in petrol engines (KE and L-Jetronic, M and ME-Motronic).
  6. Gasloline direct injection.
  7. Colloquium.
  8. Ignition and injection systems with alternate fuels.
  9. Performance of hybrid vehicles.
  10. Exhaust emissions. Diagnostics.
  11. Catalysts.
  12. Legislation and norms EURO 4, 5,6.
  13. Colloquium.
