Requirements: Basic understanding of electrical engineering
Goal: This module is designed to provide knowledge on digital electronic circuits and elements, its properties and application. Acquiring skills for work analysis and design of digital electronic circuits.
Outcome: On successful completion of this module, students should be able to operate with laboratory equipment. Understanding of digital electricl circuits working principles. Know-how necessary to operate on integrated electronic circuits.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. Introductory lecture (module content). Basic terms.
  2. Basic properties of logic circuits in NS technology. Combinational circuits and 3 input circuts.
  3. Combinational circuits and 3 input circuts.
  4. Oscillators.
  5. Sequential Circuits.
  6. Colloquium.
  7. Digital data transmission, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485.
  8. Approach to serial and parallel memory systems.
  9. AD and DA convertors.
  10. I2C and SPI protocols. Comparative analysis and application.
  11. Asynchronous data transmission. Block of data transmitted.
  12. Systematic authentication codes using polynomials.
  13. Conclusion, self-evaluation and students’ pools.
  14. Colloquium.

  1. Measuring instruments and laboratory equipment.
  2. Logic circuits.
  3. Combinational logic networks.
