Council

The Council is the managing body of School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Applied Studies. The scope of work of the School Council is determined by the Law on Higher Education and the Statute of the School. The method of work and decision-making, as well as the method of holding Council meetings, is determined by the Statute of the School and the Rules of Procedure of the Council.

The Council has seventeen members. Eleven members of the Council are representatives of the employees in the School, three members of the Council are representatives of students and three members of the Council are representatives of the founders. 

The mandate of the members of the Council lasts three years, except for the mandate of the members of the Council - student representatives, whose term lasts one year. The beginning of the mandate of the Council will be calculated from the date of the holding of the constituent meeting of the Council, which will be scheduled and held within a term not exceeding fifteen days, counting from the expiry of the mandate of the previous Council's convening.

The scope of work of the Council of the School is determined by the Law on Higher Education and this Statute, as follows:

  • adopts the Statute of the School on the proposal of the Teaching and professional council. The School Council forms a Commission for the drafting of the Statute that prepares the draft Statute and passes the draft to the Teaching and professional council. The Teaching and professional council approves the final proposal of the Statute and sends it to the Council of the School for decision-making;
  • adopts amendments to the Statute of the School, on the proposal of the proposers authorized by the Statute of the School;
  • elects and dismisses the Director of the School, in accordance with the Law and the Statute of the School;
  • elects and dismisses the President of the Council and his deputy;
  • decides on appeals against the first instance decisions of the school director;
  • approves the allocation of financial resources and adopts a financial plan;
  • adopts a business report and an annual calculation;
  • adopts a plan for the use of investment funds;
  • considers and approves the reports of the Census Commission on the conducted regular and extraordinary inventory of assets and liabilities of the School;
  • gives consent to the school property management decisions;
  • decides on the number and title of study programs of for further accreditation;
  • proposes to the Teaching and professional council to decide on the abolition of the study program;
  • adopts a quality assurance strategy;
  • make a decision on the amount of scholarship;
  • decides on the criteria for awarding scholarships and other financial reliefs to students;
  • submits to the founder of the School a business report, at least once a year;
  • adopts the Rulebook on disciplinary and material responsibility of students;
  • selects an external auditor of the financial operations of the School;
  • makes a decision on the education or modification of the basic organizational units of the School;
  • decides on the education or the abolition of a special organizational unit or a special legal entity referred to in Article 4. paragraphs 9 and 10 of the Statute of the School, appoints the managing bodies, or representatives in the managing bodies of legal entities founded by the School, and performs other tasks related to founding, that is, management rights in these legal entities, in accordance with the law;
  • adopts the Rules of Procedure of the Council, which further regulates the management and work methods of the Council of the School;
  • performs other tasks in accordance with the law, this Statute and other general acts of the School.

Members of the Council of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Applied Studies, whose mandate began on February 27, 2017, are:
